Fertilization & Weed Control

We offer a monthly fertilization and weed control program. The objective of our program is to stop as many weed seeds from germinating while focusing on soil fertility. This is just a guide, applications can vary on the years weather conditions and the needs of your turf.

Application #1 (March)- We apply a pre-emergent fertilizer. This application focuses not only on above surface growth of grass but on the root system as well, while also suppressing weed seeds from germinating.

Application #2 (April)- We apply a soil amendment of Humante and Calcium to help loosen the soil structure and assist the grass plants in the up taking of nutrients.  Calcium is essential in cellular structure in plants. Soils that are low in calcium are prone to dandelions.  At this time we will also spray any weeds (dandelion, thistle and creeping charlie) that may emerge.

Application #3 (May)- We apply a late spring feeding that focuses on slow release fertilizer and root health. At this time we will also spray any weeds (dandelion, thistle and creeping charlie) that may emerge.

Application #4 (June)- We apply an application of Liquid Kelp to help make turf grasses more resistant to heat stress and adds nutrients to the soil.  Spot spraying weeds as needed.

Application #5 (July)-  We apply a feeding that focuses on slow release fertilizer and root health. We will also spot spray weeds if needed.

Application #6 (August)-  We apply another application of Liquid Kelp. At this time we will also spray any weeds (dandelion, thistle and creeping charlie) that may emerge.

Application #7 (September)-  We apply a feeding that focuses on slow release fertilizer and root health. We will also spot spray weeds if needed.

Application #8 (October/November)- This application is designed to provide your lawn with the nutrients to be ready for and survive the winter months.
